The first “Cenetta” – supper at The Kitchen – will be held on Saturday 15th February. We will open at 19:00 for a start time of 19:30

Whilst that is Valentine’s weekend, and you may wish to book as a couple, this will not be your usual, run of the mill, romantic Valentine dinner  “à deux”!

Guests will be seated at one of two large tables, encouraging conversation, new connections, and a chance to do community over the dinner table.

Spaces are limited, and a small number have already been booked, so please email us to reserve your place(s) on a first come, first served basis.

Priced with a minimum suggested donation of £35 per head, all profits will go towards the work of Thanet Iceberg Project and The Kitchen.

The supper will consist of seven courses mainly with Italian influences:  antipasto, primo (a soup), secondo (main), palate cleanser (eg sorbet), dolce (sweet), a cheese course (a very English rather than Italian idea!), and finishing with coffee and petit fours.

In keeping with our whole ethos, the menu will consist of dishes made using predominantly ingredients that have come to us as “food surplus”, continuing to bring a spotlight on the astounding quantity, quality and variety of food that goes to waste within food distribution. This is not just about past-its-best veg!  Therefore the final menu will not be sent to guests until a few days before the event.

Guests will be able to indicate if they have any food allergies, medical dietary requirements such as coeliac disease, or if they are pescatarian, vegetarian or vegan and these will of course be accommodated.

Guests are invited to bring their own alcohol.  We will not charge corkage.  We will have a range of soft drinks to sell if required.
